Sinopsis:
Ricky Bobby siempre ha soñado con conducir rápido -muy rápido- como su padre, Reese Bobby, que abandonó a su familia para perseguir su sueño en las carreras. Al principio, la madre de Ricky, Lucy Bobby se preocupaba por que su hijo también estuviera destinado a convertirse en un temerario sobre ruedas. Ricky Bobby se introduce por primera vez en los circuitos de carreras como “jackman” (persona responsable de levantar los coches para el cambio de neumáticos) para el descuidado piloto Terry Cheveaux y, accidentalmente, consigue su gran oportunidad para pilotar cuando Cheveaux hace una parada no programada en una carrera para zamparse un sándwich de pollo.
