Sinopsis:
Kevin Costner interpreta a Mr. Brooks, un hombre torturado incapaz de controlar sus emociones. Tiene una mitad diab??lica, un alter ego amante del asesinato y del caos. Demi Moore es una experimentada detective cuya devoci??n a su trabajo capta la atenci??n y la admiraci??n del asesino que persigue, que no es otro que el otro yo de Mr. Brooks.

Comentarios:
Realmente yo no sé en que piensa Kevin Costner cuando elije las películas, pero de un tiempo a esta parte es que, el pobre, no da ni una.
Y es que Mr Brooks es una peli mala, aburrida, lenta y un tanto absurda. Un asesino en serie (el asesino de la Huella del Pulgar) lleva dos años sin matar, hasta que su lado oscuro (muy bien interpretado por William Hurt) le convence para que asesine a una pareja en pleno acto sexual. Es perseguido por una detective de policía (Demi Moore) multimillonaria y desquiciada por su proceso de divorcio con un playboy, una especie de Bruce Willis en La Jungla de Cristal en mujer: mamporros a 'tutti plen'.
En esta historia del gato y el ratón, se cuela un pseudo 'papparazzi' con espíritu psicópata y los esfínteres flojos, una pareja de delincuentes fugados de la prisión que ansían vengarse de la detective que acaban vengándose de sí mismos, y una adolescente, hija de Mr Brooks (Danielle PanaBaker) que apunta ya las maneras de papá.
Todo eso sin ritmo, con situaciones y conversaciones absurdas, aunque, todo hay que decirlo, correctamente interpretado por Kevin Costner y William Hurt, cuyos duelos dialécticos son lo único que hace que no te vayas de la sala del cine.
