Sinopsis:
El oscarizado Jamie Foxx (Corrupción en Miami, Ray) protagoniza un thriller muy actual acerca del explosivo enfrentamiento entre Oriente Próximo y Occidente en THE KINGDOM. La película, dirigida por Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Tesoro del Amazonas), producida por Michael Mann (Heat, El dilema/The Insider, El aviador, Corrupción en Miami) y Scott Stuber (Tú, yo y ahora... Dupree, Separados), también incluye a actores de la talla de Ali Suliman y Ashraf Barhoum, a los que pudimos ver en Paradise Now, nominada al Oscar a la Mejor Película Extranjera.Jamie Foxx interpreta a Ronald Fleury, un inteligente agente especial gubernamental al que acaban de encargar la misión de su vida: organizar un equipo de élite (cuyos miembros son interpretados por Jennifer Garner, el oscarizado Chris Cooper y Jason Baterman) que deberá desplazarse a Riyad para capturar al cerebro del letal atentado terrorista que costó la vida a varios compatriotas destacados en Arabia Saudí. El equipo dispondrá de una semana para infiltrarse y destruir una célula terrorista decidida a librar la “yihad” contra la sociedad occidental.Fleury encuentra un inesperado aliado en la persona de un capitán de la policía saudí (Ashraf Bahroum) que le ayuda a navegar por la política de Riyad y a investigar la auténtica razón del atentado. El tiempo apremia y los agentes acaban en la guarida de los asesinos. Con sus vidas en juego, el equipo especial y los terroristas, cada uno a un lado de la guerra del terror, se enfrentan y no se detendrán hasta que se haga justicia en THE KINGDOM.

Comentarios:
Se podria decir que es una pelicula más sobre el mundo de los atentados terroristas con los americanos de por medio, y no fallariamos, porque aunque al principio nos ataquen con miles de datos historicos sobre las relaciones de arabes y estadounidenses, eso no va a ninguna parte en la historia. Algo que cambia (por llamarlo de alguna manera) con el resto es que intenta no dejar tan mal a los que en un principio eran los malos, porque el caso es acabar con el contrario.
No sorprende nada, demasiado previsible, respecto a la accion...demasiado americana.
