Sinopsis:
Ramón, un niño de doce años, visita un viejo taller de bicicletas para arreglar un pinchazo. Allí encuentra a un anciano llamado MARIO, antiguo ciclista amateur, y se queda fascinado por una bicicleta que éste acaba de construir con piezas de diferentes modelos. El anciano decide cambiársela por la que ha traído pinchada.Ramón, huérfano de madre, vive con su padre, empleado en un desguace. Es un mal estudiante a su pesar, lo que provoca continuas discusiones con su padre, que se preocupa por el futuro del niño. El padre ha cambiado a su hijo a un colegio de pago y trata de que se aplique en los estudios, pero no puede hacer nada por él. El niño no lo tiene como modelo.Para tener algo de dinero en el bolsillo, Ramón y Óscar, su amigo del barrio, hacen de correo para un traficante de anabolizantes, atravesando una ciudad en plena transformación. Ramón está enamorado de Silvia, hija de un policía, una compañera del nuevo colegio que le inicia en la lectura. El día que hace la entrega del último paquete de anabolizantes, un chico le roba la bicicleta.
